Veuve at The Grand

Hello lovelies!  Last weekend I headed North to stay on Mackinac Island. If you have not heard of Mackinac Island, it is voted one of the Top 10 Islands in the WORLD to visit by Conde Nast! I used to work at Mission Point Resort over there where I also had my prom! Another one for your bucket lists! There are no automobiles over there and your taxi's are a horse & carriage, no lie! All boutique shops, restaurants and bars= AMAZING time!

My bf George and I, attended the Veuve Clicquot Party on the Porch of The Grand Hotel. This porch is truly GRAND, the longest porch in the WORLD and it overlooks Lake Huron! This party was for the Chicago to Mackinac Island yacht race that happens every year and is a huge party over there.  I had a hard time deciding on a dress because of course I wanted to buy something new! :) Though I resisted the urge and went with one of my favorite oldies but a goodie!

This dress is from Victorias Secret and I have had it for at least 6 years. Perfect dress for the Island as you can only wear flats and you do A LOT of walking over there. This dress is so comfortable and truly effortless... The dress does all the talking so, I went with simple accessories.

Best part of this dress is the train! I literally matched the carpet!
